Common Questions from Students

These come up in almost every session. If you're wondering about something, chances are someone else asked it last week.

When do your programs actually start?

Next cohort kicks off September 2025. We run two sessions a year—fall and spring. Applications open about three months before each start date, and we usually fill up within six weeks.

Do I need any finance background to join?

Not at all. Most of our students come in knowing they need help but not sure where to start. We teach from the ground up. If you can balance a checkbook and use a spreadsheet, you're good to go.

How much time should I expect to spend each week?

Plan for about 4-6 hours. That includes two live sessions and time to work through your own financial situation. Some people spend more if they're really digging into their spending patterns, but you can get solid results with the minimum commitment.

Will this actually help me get out of debt?

It can. We teach the strategies, but you have to do the work. Our approach focuses on building systems that match how you actually live—not ideal scenarios that fall apart after two weeks. Results vary based on your situation and how consistently you apply what you learn.

What if I fall behind in the course?

All sessions are recorded, and you get access for a full year after the program ends. Life happens—we know that. Just catch up when you can. The material builds on itself, so you'll want to stay reasonably current.

Can I get one-on-one help with my specific situation?

Yes, but it's limited. Each student gets two private consultation sessions included. If you need more than that, we offer additional hours at a separate rate. Group sessions cover most situations though—you'd be surprised how common your problems are.

What Happens During Sessions

We spend the first half walking through concepts—usually focused on one specific area like tracking expenses or understanding interest calculations. Then we break into smaller groups where you work on applying those concepts to your own finances.

You're never put on the spot to share personal numbers with the whole class. That happens only in your small group or private sessions. Most people find the group work helpful though—seeing how others tackle similar problems usually sparks ideas.
